What We Do
The PSBA Network is a next generation network which provides a single communications and information transport platform for the public sector in Wales, and aggregates demand for high-speed connectivity across the sectors.
By aggregating connectivity from a number of different sectors, for example from Education and Health within the same geography or neighbourhood, costs can be reduced across the public sector.
The core network infrastructure:
- Provides, secure, resilient, multiple services with high speed data transfer
- Supports applications such as telephony and videoconferencing
- Has a scalable bandwidth and logical partitioning
- Allows beneficiary organisations to work more effectively together
- Reduces costs due to economies of scale and by avoiding duplication
- Ensures common standards thereby ensuring enhanced operability
- Offers extended Public Service network reach throughout Wales
- Provides a catalyst for change across current processes and organisations
PSBA will touch every corner of public services, from local government to health, education and emergency services, across the public service delivery community.
The PSBA Network is an enabler for achieving more effective co-operation, co-ordination and introduction of public service delivery improvements across the whole of the Welsh public sector.
