Peter Stansfield retires

Peter Stansfield, an ambassador for PSBA from the very beginning, retired on 17 June. PSBA would like to thank Peter for the tenacity and vision he provided throughout the conception, birth and infancy of the PSBA and he’ll be missed by everybody.

Peter joined the NHS in 1974 from ICL, and has been instrumental in creating the networking building blocks for NHS Wales. His career highlights included a leading role on the creation of the Digital All Wales Network (DAWN). Other achievements included implementation of the Welsh Health Telephone Network, which has allowed FREE desk to desk telephone calls throughout NHS Wales for many years, and the development of the Welsh Health Video Network.
