Gareth Tilleke, Network Services Manager for NHS Wales Informatics Services, wanted to thank all those involved with the firewall template project for the successful conclusion of the project, referring to project as a good example of Health and Logicalis working in partnership.
This rollout was particularly challenging for Logicalis due to the fact that Primary care health sites tend to have bespoke rules on a per site basis, these rules could not be over written by the new template.
The success of this project can be judged by the fact that to date no negative operational impact has been experienced by health we now have a standard template to work to.
Drew Evans, Head of Telecommunications at Aneurin Bevan Health Board, requested for it be minuted that he has seen a marked improvement in the number of micro outages on the network and wanted to express his thanks for the excellent work carried out by Logicalis to resolve the problem. Peter Stansfield seconded this, with positive comments from all around the table.
Careers Wales IT representative Rhys Williams commented and praised PSBA on how efficient the planned works notification process has been.
Mark Wilson, Customer Service Manager at Rhondda Cynon Taf County Borough Council stated that the service from the PSBA MSC is excellent, ‘your team are very professional, they’re communications relating to any query, not just logged incident, was rated at 10 out of 10’.
