This resulted in the creation of the PSBA Partnership which represents the public sector bodies who are financing and using the PSBA network. The PSBA network supplier, Logicalis UK Ltd has now also joined this partnership.

- Case Study: Countryside Council for Wales (with hyperlink to relevant page on the web) Reduced costs and faster connections using PSBA puts Countryside Council for Wales ahead of the field.

The Countryside Council for Wales is the Government’s statutory advisor on sustaining natural beauty, wildlife and opportunity for outdoor enjoyment in Wales and its inshore waters.

The Countryside Council for Wales has joined the nationwide network and community of PSBA users. This provides Countryside Council for Wales with broadband connectivity between its fourteen sites across Wales with significant cost savings to be realised.

- PSBA Benefit Management (with hyperlink to relevant page on the web)
PSBA delivers a network which is typically both cheaper and exceeds the benefits offered by existing networks. It offers greater value for money, provides a common infrastructure and language for collaboration and offers an effective procurement route to support ‘Buying Once for Wales’.

The Welsh public sector has made a significant investment in PSBA and most organisations are already seeing the benefits of this investment through savings in network costs. But, PSBA is about more than just buying a network, it involves supporting a longer term vision of information sharing and collaborative working: the public sector working together to effectively deliver citizen-centred services.

- PSBA Security Overview (with hyperlink to relevant page on the web)
The Public Sector is under increasing pressure to handle information, especially that of a personal nature, more securely. The damage caused to citizens and businesses, and to the reputation of the organisation when information is lost or mishandled is more sharply focussed.

The PSBA Network offers unrivalled security capabilities, with Information Assurance designed in from the outset.

The PSBA Network is built to be capable of accreditation by information asset owners for transporting information Assets up to the RESTRICTED level (as defined by HMG’s Protective Marking Scheme) and at CESG’s Impact Level (IL)3.
