Neath Port Talbot County Borough Council sign up to PSBA - 26th July 2010 

Neath Port Talbot County Borough Council recently signed up to reprovision all of its existing broadband circuits under the WAG PSBA agreement.

Cllr. Andrea Davies, the Cabinet Member for ICT said,

“The recent decision by our Council to replace its existing broadband network under the PSBA framework agreement has resulted in a number of positives as well as affording significant opportunities for the future. The delivery of flexible high end broadband services to all our schools and civic buildings will help maintain the best possible services to our citizens.”

A major benefit for the Council is that the new network will operate at a lower cost, providing annual savings of £50k throughout the lifetime of the five year contract.

Cllr Davies added,

“Once our Council has fully implemented the network we will be ideally placed to take advantage of the transformational opportunities it affords, in addition to those being developed by WAG and its partners.”
